5 Free Concerts Coming to Pennsylvania This Summer

CBS News (04/09/26) Bartos, Madeline Artists like Lady A, Nelly and Third Eye Blind have agreed to headline a free, five-city concert series across Pennsylvania this summer to celebrate America's 250th anniversary. Gov. Josh Shapiro and America250PA, the commission created to organize the state's celebration of the United States' milestone, recently took the wraps off the Commonwealth Concert Series lineup. Every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through June 30, artists will perform free concerts throughout the state, with Erie, Hershey, Pittsburgh, State College and Wilkes-Barre each hosting one weekend. Cole Swindell is set to headline the first show on May 23 at Bryce Jordan Center in State College. Additional artists will be announced on a rolling basis. The performances may be free, but tickets are still required to keep accurate headcounts at each venue. Shapiro confirmed that the state secured funds in the 2025-26 budget to stage the concerts and make them free. Read the full story from  CBS News .
