Moulin Rouge! THE MUSICAL Marks Seven Years on Broadway

Broadway World (07/25/26) Wright, Joshua "Moulin Rouge! THE MUSICAL" recently marked seven years on Broadway with a celebratory video released to the public. The hit musical is based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 motion picture and famously features a score drawn from decades of popular music. The production won Best Musical along with nine other Tony Awards. The Broadway production will close on Aug. 30 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Before it does, Tony-winner Aaron Tveit, who originated the role of Christian, has been contracted to return for a limited engagement of 15 performances, running Aug. 18 through Aug. 29.
